Urban context-aware Applications

This application domain relates to urban environments, in particular in Cities becoming “Smart”, become increasingly populated by mobile technologies and their supporting infrastructure as well as sensors and actuators (video surveillance, sensor parking, smart bulb lights, etc) and new methods of interacting with the Cities’ surrounds emerge.

Local Events Perception Support scenario

In urban area, various social events (i.e. festivals, new shop opening) or accidents (i.e. car accidents, traffic jam) occur every day, being difficult for citizens to know all of them so that can exploit (social events) and avoid (accidents).

ClouT City data gathering, analysis and leveraging application that will be developed and real-tested in pilot city FUJISAWA:

Objectives of Interactive City Infrastructure application: 

i) Create and evaluate sustainable sensing method ,

ii) Integration of physical, electric sensing and human-based sensing method,

iii) Detect social events that occur inside the city,

iv) Cooperation method of city infrastructure and city sensing data
